Gary Adamson's melodic and thoughtful music will carry you along on a journey of spirit and heart.
Gary's sound, with its soaring lead vocals and harmonies, has been compared to that of Brian and Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Sting, and Jon Anderson of Yes.
Gary is founder/leader of the popular Woodstock tribute band “Back To The Garden 1969,” as well as “California Dreamin'” a tribute to the music of Southern California in the 60's and 70's.
As a solo artist, Gary is currently performing songs from his forthcoming album “Solitary Dreamer,” as well as his 2019 release “1969” a remembrance of that epic year and the journey we have traveled since then. Gary’s repertoire also includes his interpretations of a vast selection of tunes by his favorite artists.
Gary’s first cd, the progressive “Into Light,” was released to critical acclaim in 1999. “The Greatest Gift,” an album of original and traditional Christmas songs arrived in 2009. Gary's production company, Waters Edge Music, creates music for television and video, including the Emmy- nominated Disney children's show ”Secrets Of The Animal Kingdom,” and the award winning PBS environmental documentary “In Search Of Wild Florida.” In 2007 and 2010 he produced and performed "Musical Fun Volumes 1 & 2," educational cd's of children's music in English and Spanish and, in 2012, he wrote, produced, and performed "At Christmas Time", which appeared on the Westchester All Stars For Wounded Veterans cd.
Gary also has contributed vocal arrangements, lead vocals and background harmonies to countless artists in both recording sessions and live appearances.
Gary lives near the beach in Rye, New York with his wife Maureen.
