INTO LIGHT is Gary Adamson's first solo CD on Water's Edge Music. Released on the cusp of the new millennium, INTO LIGHT is a song cycle that revisits the past while looking forward, with hope, to a brighter tomorrow |
|
Standout tracks include, "All We Need", a Beatlesque look at the 60's generation, "Aurora", dedicated to Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, "A Place / Turns To Silence", and more…14 tracks in all. Gary performed all lead and backing vocals, and also played drums, percussion, piano, organ, synthesizers, bass, and orchestrations. He was aided by Michael Garner on bass guitar, and Dave Hirschman, Pat Jones, Rich Steele and Tim Curtin on various acoustic and electric guitars. INTO LIGHT was recorded and mixed with a lot of help from engineer Frank Dickinson at 90 East Productions, Stony Point, New York, and mastered by Steven Meyer at ESR Studio, Port Washington, New York. INTO LIGHT, is now being played on several European radio stations, including Andre Steyns' "The Paperlate Progressive Rock Show "in the Netherlands (www.paperlate.net), and Rob Leighton's Imagination Radio (www.imagination.clara.net), part of Radio Caroline, in the UK. which, I'm told, now has a feed which reaches the East Coast of the U.S. The newest station around the world to pick up on INTO LIGHT is Radio Penguin, in Siberia, Russia. INTO LIGHT was also Featured CD at Dave Haslam's The Progress Report, and Progressive Rock and Metal of Brazil, two great Progressive Rock websites. INTO LIGHT is also getting airplay around the US on college stations that have Progressive Rock programming, including Clay Gaunce's "The Trip" at the University of Kentucky, Debbie Bradshaw's "The Prog Rock Diner", in Fairfax, VA, and Mark Krueger's "Planet Prog", at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. We have also received very positive reviews from some influential Progressive Rock periodicals. Your can read the reviews here. ENJOY! |
