As a teenager in Yonkers, New York, Gary played his first gig, filling in on drums for a friend who had broken his arm. The rock and roll bug bit him big time and he has been performing live ever since. After graduating from Iona College, Gary began working full time as a musician, playing drums and singing in many successful, and some not so successful tri-state area bands.

Along the way, he became an accomplished keyboard player and acoustic guitarist. He also studied music production and digital technology. He has worked as a session vocalist and percussionist in New York area recording studios.
